have you tried going into the bios and modifying the boot order so that it boots from cd before it boots from HDD?

Yes. But that won't do any good in the long run. Once I try and run the installation disk, it won't install it on my laptop. It will only install it on an External HD, which is useless, because I can't boot from it (I've tried). It tries to boot from it, but it just restarts and swiches back to Vista.

boot&nuke isn't a method of doing things... it's a program that wipes your HDD by writing over it with random patterns. Good for destroying <strike>evidence</strike> personal data.

This thread entails why when building my current PC, I chose XP Pro over Vista.

Why anyone would pick Vista when XP is still on the market is beyond me.

Trust me. As soon as Project Editor's first compilation is out, XP is going back on my computer faster than you can say guy07. I would never had picked Vista, but I kind of had to because I didn't know how to get rid of it.
