so what do you listen to? i mean, i'm not trying to be sarcastic but a lot of, most music is composed like that....

Yeah, I still like System of a Down, just not as much as I used to.

I still like Orgy as much as ever, but I've had new bands grow on me lately, namely Rammstein and KMFDM.(semi old school KMFDM, from Nihil, Xtort and Symbols)

I never actually minded SOAD, my brother tends to play it every once in a while (though he likes the music, he seems to loathe most SOAD fans, because he finds them rather 'slow'...)

At the very least, they've usually managed to amuse me quite effectively :roll:

mastodon is a great example of a band that doesnt use standard song writing

The lyrics seem neat enough, though there's no need to remind me of the value of non-standard songwriting

(/digs out David Sylvian and Captain Beefheart records, both of whom still share the top spot for my favorite vocalist/lyricist evar) :roll:
