Uh... much as I think a lot of the newer Disney movies are rather perverted, I don't exactly see anything wrong with this one. I mean hey, the guy marries the girl at the end. What's wrong with making allusions to what they're going to do on their honeymoon?

I'm all in favor of making fun of the questionable stuff in Disney movies myself, but at least aim your jokes at the right targets. I liked the Shrek movie because so many of its parodies were right on:

Shrek on Farquad's skyscraper castle tower: "Do you think maybe he's compensating for something?

Mirror on Snow White: "Though she lives in the forest with seven men, she's not easy!"

Shrek and Donkey on Farquad's "qualifications" as a handsome prince:

"You might say men like Farquad are in... 'short' supply?'"
"Oh no no no, Shrek! There are those who think... 'little' of him!"

And, of course, there's the scene with the exploding bird. (Didn't you always kinda wish Disney's cute animals would do something useful for once, such as be really tasty fresh from the skillet or between two slices of bread?)

If you want to make fun of movies, I recommend you try the Lion King, Pocahontas, or Mulan. I think those jackal Nazis were from Ernst Roehm's division if you know what I mean. And honestly, Pocahontas, what does all this "communing" with nature entail? Do we even want to know? The Japanese perverts have nothing on Smith: that Pocahontas was only 11 or 12 when she first met him! What were you doing in the tent with that doctor, Mulan? Given how eager and willing your comrades in arms were to dress up in drag, they must really have had some swinging times in their camp. With you being the prettiest boy around, I can't help wondering why one of them didn't discover you first...

Sure, it's perfectly natural to allude to sexual intercourse. Most kids who watched the movie wouldn't see anything out the ordinary considering the context of the song. but of course, this wasn't meant to go along with the context, but as a song by itself, and the two characters involved. The thesis of this thread was to show the "subliminal messages" hidden in Disney songs. And the reason has been pointed out by the above posters.
I'm all in favor of making fun of the questionable stuff in Disney movies myself, but at least aim your jokes at the right targets.
I'm amazed at your skills of knowing and understanding my reasoning for making this thread. When i think about it, you are correct, this wasn't the right target after all! I marvel at your empathy skills. Everyone should think like you and have your opinons because they obviously are the correct ones!
I liked the Shrek movie because so many of its parodies were right on:
So do I! Amazing! Great minds do think a like!
Shrek on Farquad's skyscraper castle tower: "Do you think maybe he's compensating for something?
My reply of course is: Do you think maybe he's compensating for something? Think about it.
Mirror on Snow White: "Though she lives in the forest with seven men, she's not easy!"
Yeah, when a woman is surrounded by males, she's suppose to be all subordinate and meek.
Shrek and Donkey on Farquad's "qualifications" as a handsome prince:

"You might say men like Farquad are in... 'short' supply?'"
"Oh no no no, Shrek! There are those who think... 'little' of him!"
Again, Do you think maybe they's compensating for something?
And, of course, there's the scene with the exploding bird. (Didn't you always kinda wish Disney's cute animals would do something useful for once, such as be really tasty fresh from the skillet or between two slices of bread?)
It's Disney, they have their own ideas. If you want to make a bird dish, make your own movie.
If you want to make fun of movies, I recommend you try the Lion King, Pocahontas, or Mulan.
I'll remember to ask for your instructions the next time i decide to make a thread.
I think those jackal Nazis were from Ernst Roehm's division if you know what I mean.

I love it when people say Nazi.
And honestly, Pocahontas, what does all this "communing" with nature entail?

I agree, it's not like we can learn anything from nature. I mean, heck, what with being a superior human being, we don't need the likes of it.
Do we even want to know?

Of coures we don't, what crap!
The Japanese perverts have nothing on Smith: that Pocahontas was only 11 or 12 when she first met him!
Perverts are perverts, no matter what race, age, or gender. Same goes for pedophiles. NO need to sepereate them into groups.
What were you doing in the tent with that doctor, Mulan?

Alright, i think you're just perverted. get your head out of the gutter.
Given how eager and willing your comrades in arms were to dress up in drag, they must really have had some swinging times in their camp. With you being the prettiest boy around, I can't help wondering why one of them didn't discover you first...

Is it the time of year that's making everybody snappish or something? The flames seem to be blazing all over the forum lately.

I thought you were joking. Do you really mean to say your analysis was meant to be serious? All those smiley-faces had me thinking it was just a little humor.

Lighten up! I'm not trying to "instruct" you, just pointing to greener pastures and cracking a few jokes. If finding subtle innuendos in Aladdin's songs floats your boat, by all means have fun with it. I just think laughing at subtle and relatively innocent stuff is a lot less fun than laughing at stuff that's blatant and really quite naughty.

Yes, the joke about Mulan and the doctor was a little over the top. I was just kidding, really! And yes, maybe Shrek was compensating for something, although I don't see what you're driving at.

I'm quite content with the movie I've got: that scene with the exploding bird was followed by a scene with fried Disney bird eggs, sunny-side up. I also hear there's a Shrek sequel coming out soon, so maybe we'll get to have even more fun at Disney's expense.

Mayhaps you should start adding emoticons or something into your posts, most of your posts always seem to imply sarcasm and least of all joking. Just a thought ^^

What, is having no emoticons like keeping a straight face or something? I had no idea.

All right, let me try it again:

Honestly, Lyrs, I was just kidding! You shouldn't take my jokes so seriously. :(

Uhm, might I just point out that Shrek is not a Disney movie? :stare:

it's spring time. you fill in the blank.
The flames seem to be blazing all over the forum lately.
i wouldn't know. i barely go into any of ht emeaningful forums anyway.

I thought you were joking.
thinking, that's your problem.
Do you really mean to say your analysis was meant to be serious?
it was meant to convey a certain truth.
All those smiley-faces had me thinking it was just a little humor.
truth can exist with humour. actually, true humour is actually truth. false humour are those based around lies/prejudices.
Lighten up!

half-life 2 is goign to rule the world!
I'm not trying to "instruct" you,
you wouldn't dare anyway.
just pointing to greener pastures
keep up the good work
and cracking a few jokes.

keep the jokes coming
If finding subtle innuendos in Aladdin's songs floats your boat, by all means have fun with it.
:o :tips virtual hat:
I just think laughing at subtle and relatively innocent stuff is a lot less fun than laughing at stuff that's blatant and really quite naughty.
it takes more imagination to fill in the blanks
Yes, the joke about Mulan and the doctor was a little over the top.

i didn't notice.
I was just kidding, really!
your point?
And yes, maybe Shrek was compensating for something, although I don't see what you're driving at.
good, 'cause i don't want to explain it.
I'm quite content with the movie I've got: that scene with the exploding bird was followed by a scene with fried Disney bird eggs, sunny-side up.
i cracked an egg today, and i saw a growing chick at 7 days old. quite an amazement. i tried to put it into a clear container to allow me to see the chick as it grows and forms, but 5 minutes after i cracked the egg, the chick's heart had stopped beating. it was sad. i just aborted a life. i'm goign to cry a river.
I also hear there's a Shrek sequel coming out soon, so maybe we'll get to have even more fun at Disney's expense.
i know, how about isntead of makign fun of disney, we enjoy the movies as they are isntead of taking a little time to see what other little things they may contain! great idea!
