If you have no real tallent it's pretty much impossible to sound really good playing your own stuff ...
I believe "real" talent is built. You're not born with any talent, you have to work for it.

I disagree. People have different natural attributes, and in some people it may be an inherent sense of timing and/or incredibly precise motor controls, resulting in a natural talent for playing music. And some people just have more creative minds than others, allowing for inherently better music writing ability (potentially, anyway).

That kind of talent can be built up with practice, but not always.

I agree with ArmsNoseFoot, to a degree. if you practice enough at any thing you can becoem good at it. but to become amazing you need to ahve that natural tallent, because like i said, practice will only take you so far, with out that natural inclination for that thing you won't beable to go much further.

Practice helps hone the tallent your born with, but tallent with out practice dosn't get you any were either ... well normaly it dosn't at least.

He's not ignoring that some equipment is better than others. I'm sure he knows that an Ibanez is generally better than a Dan Electro. But his point is that it's not the brand or model that you use, it's how you use it. :?

Quit bitching.

True...

Well, with music there's no denying that there are people with natural talents for it, that's for certain. On the other hand, experience shows that even the least talented of us can, through steel-tough discipline, develop things like sense of rhythm and a good ear, at least well enough to be considered good musicians.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Yet again, there is no "natural" talent. If you have the desire to become "amazing" you will do it through a lot of discipline and practice. "Natural inclination" and "Natural talent" are two completely different things. No one is born with talent, but they certainly are born with desires. So if one wishes to perfect their abilities as a musician, computer technician, programmer, whatever it may be, they can do so by hard work.

Well... yeah it does. Generally people's favorites are their favorites because they like how it affects the sound or how easy it is to use. :?
