HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE. First hip hop song to win an oscar!

Post by RamonesFan2020204 » Sun Mar 05, 2006 10:40 pm

And it's shocking, and also kinda cool at the same time. Three 6 Mafia's "It's Hard Out Here Being A Pimp", I'm not sure if that's the exact title, but it's something like that. It won the oscar for best original song, and I must say that this is kind of cool and interesting. Who knows what will happen next. Maybe some hard core heavy metal song will be nominated next year. LOL!

Sorry, this isn't the first time that hip-hop has won an Oscar. In 2003 Eminem won the same award for the song Lose Yourself off of Blockbuster movie 8 Mile

I loved when Three 6 mafia accepted the oscar :D See, that's how everyone should act when they recieve an oscar. I loved it :D Also, I was glad that "Hustle and Flow" was actually acknowledged. Too bad Terrance Howard didn't win best actor
