Emperor reuniting next year!

Legendary Norwegian black metallers Emperor, who played a big part in founding the Norwegian scene of the early '90s and were among the first to bring standard metal musicality into a black metal context, have announced their decision to reunite for a run of headlining shows next summer, including Germany's Wacken Open Air festival, the largest all-metal festival in the world.

I'll be booking my Wacken tickets for next year in short order; flights from wherever I'm at then (China, Singapore, back in the US, who knows) can come later. Even more than Metallica or Iron Maiden, Emperor made me who I am today, and if I miss this show, there's a reason that includes an obituary in it -- mine.
