New Green Day
I went out yesterday and Got "American Idiot"
I think it's the best Green Day Album ever...Maybe not the most enjoyable or listenable one, but definitely the most skilled and valuable...
Anyone else get it yet?

Haven't had a chance to hear anything but the title track, but I'll be sure to run out and get it pretty soon. I've loved this band ever since I got my hands on the 'Slappy Hours album...good tunes, good tunes.
Anyone know if there's a way to get the "Sweet Children" tracks w/o illegal methods? (Sweet Children is Green Day pre-record label)

It's a perennial favorite on eBay, it looks like there's a copy up now going for $50.
And just because it's out of print doesn't mean the intellectual copyright's expired, does it? I mean, it's not like it's in the public domain or anything.
As a punk-poseur, I'm not allowed to like any records on major labels, but when nobody's looking I enjoy Dookie and Insomniac, and Nimrod up to the sickeningly sweet acoustic track from Dawson's Creek.

Certainly the intellectual copyright is not expired, but since you don't have to worry about the RCAA coming after your ass, it's safer than the latest music...
I went through that whole phase of not liking major label music, but then I decided that if my money is not going to pay an Executive's salary, it's probably going towards terrorism, right? hehehe, Seriously though, if you want to check out some non-major stuff e-music.com is the place to be, it's cheap and legal (45 songs for 9.99 I think, 90 for 25.00, plus hellcat and vagrant or up among others, Kerplunk and Slappy hours are as well!)
