Teh Mad Hatters Band Recommendation Of The Month - August

Post by Wheee_It's_Me! » Wed Aug 18, 2004 5:24 pm

I was watching VH1's "I love the 90s" when at the end credits I heard this song that seemed to be strikingly 80s. So at first I thought, hrmmm, I wonder what 80s band sings that. Of course I didn't have the song name but I remembered a few lines of the lyrics so I popped open google and typed in, "come on and dance with me" and "lyrics" and VIOLA, I found the name of the group...The Sounds!

As it turns out they're a recent Swedish band with a very retro 80s kind of sound with a very 2k's kick to it.

Here's their website: http://www.the-sounds.com/

My favorites include:
Dance With Me
Living In America
Mine For Life

I already like them. Anything that is or sounds 80's and then gets a modern kick to it (ex. Tainted love remix-Marilyn Manson...read the "What are you listening to" thread, pg.11 for more examples) is cool in my book. Good music isn't hard to find. You just gotta look back.

Anyways I want to hear some examples, as there are none on the site  . Are their albums easy to find?

please PM me if you have important info on it ^_^
