I don't really like CD Japan...by the time they actually get around to charging your card, the exchange rate has changed multiple times. It makes accurate record keeping a pain.

Oh, and importing isn't illegal. If it was, retailers couldn't do it.

Ultimately, if you want a good selection of CDs, you have to import. AnimeNation's not bad, Robert's Anime Store is decent. Soundtrack Central (at http://www.altpop.com/stc/ ) has reviews of soundtracks.
Another pointless post!

Funny, it's not like that for me.

CDJapan has been real good to me, that's why I recommend them.
Also, since you are importing the cds directly, there's no extra money added into the price of the cd (ex. Animenation typically adds $3-$5 to the price of cds, and Amazon.com adds $15)
Plus the selection is much greater, and you can get cds before American stores get them.

Maybe its not them, but instead the credit card company? :?:

I really doubt it. The price listed on the site (after purchase), the email for my records, and the actual charge to my card were all different. Only by a few cents, but it's the principle of the thing.

Oh well. I haven't completely ruled them out yet. But I'm definitely more hesitant to use them.
