I would've killed to see that.ongakuka wrote: I thought JM was awesome recorded.. totally he's insane live. I saw Joe Satrani/DT last year; during the middle of YtseJam, which they were playing about 2x faster than the record, John and John started kicking back and forth a soccer ball on stage.. during the solos.. it was nuts![]()
I've been a big fan of Levin from his Buddy Rich days and more recently with Liquid Tension Experiment. I just recently found King Crimson - awesome music!!
You should check out Symphony X, Michael Romeo and Mike LePond are easily a match for John Petrucci and John Myung. King of Terrors has one of the best bass riffs I've heard in that genre, heh.
I almost wished Myung had played with LTE but I love Levin, so... can't go wrong either way. I just bought their second CD.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Grr... must check out LTE ASAP. I feel like I'm really missing out. Certainly interested in Tony's work there.
BTW, Tony Levin is on tour with Peter Gabriel right now, getting good reviews. They say he wears a big Matrix-like trench coat on stage now - would like to see that

Man... I would've killed to see anything by Satriani live on stage. Well, when his tour with Fripp materialises - I'll go for sure. Fripp was planning to go with Satriani in Summer 2001, but then a King Crimson tour with Tool came up. I think Fripp and Satriani would make a blazing combination, they'd compliment each other well. They're still thinking about that...

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
