Hello! My name is g_ren11! I have been a lurker since...a long time.
My other early 2000's handle was Brownrice. I thought it was super legit at the time. HA! :D

I have been searching for OLD Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts AMVs that were created around 2006-2008.

Currently, I am searching for an old Youtube AMV featuring Final Fantasy X/X-2, specifically Tidus and Yuna. (Duh!)

The AMV had Madonna's song, Cherish and it was one of the AMVs that I watched OVER and over again along with other songs including Far Away by Nickelback.

I can honestly say that this AMV helped with some super boring, super lonely times. I think I have the original Youtube link, but it says that "The Video Isn't Available Anymore." I was hoping it was reupped somewhere else?

The title, I'm pretty sure, is called Final Fantasy Tribute.

I hope everyone's doing well enough, and if I can get help finding this video, it'd really make my day. :)
Thank you, everyone! :pizza: :taco: <3 <3

Hello everyone,

just want to say HI again after around 20y of absence
I'm now fortysomething and still remember some of the AMV here very kindly.
I've never edited any videos, but I was always some sort of visitor here, now and then, until today, I've got a revelation about my possible password.
So here I am, still with no amv, but I nevertheless I was creative in another way: I wrote some (German) short stories (some of them published, some not)

Hi everyone,

I spend most of my free time in After Effects, trying to bring my video ideas to life while juggling a pretty busy schedule. I firmly believe that to improve, you need to carve out real moments of focus, away from distractions. I’m excited to join this community and learn alongside you all to make my future projects even better!

Hi everyone, my name is Hugus, and I’m glad to have stumbled upon this forum because, honestly, I’ve had a hard time finding a place where people actually talk about the history of AMVs—not just the technical aspects or sharing recent videos. So here I am. I’ve been hanging out in anime communities in general for a while now, but AMVs are something that’s been particularly close to my heart for, like… maybe six or seven years now. I started watching them a bit by chance, on old platforms most of which don’t really exist anymore in the same form, and I realized pretty quickly that it was an art form in its own right. Not just “sticking scenes over music” as some people put it (I admit, that’s a bit of a caricature). What really draws me in here is the question of historical platforms—the forums and websites that allowed this scene to take shape, mainly in the 2000s. It’s hard to track stuff down there; the archives are scattered, a lot of content has disappeared, and it frustrates me quite a bit because an entire visual culture was built during that era. The work on timing, the effects that seemed over-the-top for the time given the available resources... honestly, it deserves to be discussed seriously. I’m not necessarily someone who creates AMVs myself; I’m more on the viewer side and passionate about the history of the scene.

Hi everyone, my name is Adrian and I’m glad I found this forum because honestly, I searched for quite a while before coming across an active French-speaking community focused on AMVs. It’s been about two or three years since I started watching AMVs from time to time. At first it happened kind of by accident, I was looking for clips of an OST I really liked and ended up finding a completely insane edit, with perfect music sync, really sharp cuts... I spent the whole evening watching more after that. Ever since, I’ve been amazed by what some people manage to create using anime footage that seems pretty basic on paper. Personally, I’ve never really tried making one myself. I messed around with Sony Vegas a few years ago for something super simple, but creating a real AMV with actual artistic intent feels like a whole different level. So I’m here mainly to learn, see how people build their projects, what software you all use these days, that kind of stuff.
What interests me the most is music synchronization, that thing where every cut lands exactly on a beat or a chord change, those complex edits that make it feel like the anime was made specifically for that song. That’s honestly what impresses me the most in a good AMV, way more than flashy special effects or over-the-top transitions.
