Any help you can offer in helping the 2 decks woul dbe extremely appreciated. It doesn't have to be much. Just thought I would ask for a little help and insight is all.

I know trust me that there is a lot wrong with these 2 decks, but that is what trial and error is for :)

k, well, those decks, are complete and utter garbage for anything except silly fun duels with players close to your skill level (noobs, no offense)

maybe you're stuck in the past, which i'm sure is hard to shake off, but if you wanna be semi-competitive and be able to win at least half as much as you lose with good players (and you have, what, 1000 dollars you said?) then i would suggest researching a lot of different decks, seeing youtube videos (make sure they're post september 2011) playing on duelingnetwork.com a GAZILLION BAJILLION TIMES with decks that you just pulled off of the internet (nobody frowns upon it on duelingnetwork, just in real life) and going to a tournament or two with one of the decks you posted, and then going out and buying all the singles you need.

really, duelingnetwork is your best friend right now, because it's hard to know what deck you wanna play until you actually play em (which is free on DN!)
but uhh, if you wanna play heroes, the best version of that deck is either Anti Meta Hero Light Beatdown (3 neos alius, 1 stratos, and a bunch of other good light monsters like cyber dragon, dd warrior lady, thunder king raioh, and STUFF. pretty old school and you can throw in 3 miracle fusions to bring out e-hero the shining or other omni heroes depending on the other monsters you put in) or fusion gate heroes (3 fusion gate, e hero prisma, alius, stratos, e-hero heat, e-hero ocean, e-hero voltic, and others) this is just a badass deck, i use it as my main on duelingnetwork, it's soooooo fun, if you like heroes and their fusions, this is a really great deck, and the most competitive version that uses the fusions as its main win condition.

as for your, uhh, "discard discord" you wont get anywhere focusing solely on hand disruption, you need other stuff to win because lots of decks play their hand and then you got nothing. Not saying it isn't a good tactic but having every card set to discard is not going to do well. Decks that feature hand disruption pretty well are like x-sabers or darkworlds ( i think, not really sure ) so yeah.

so there's not really much to fix on those except...idk, maybe these two small things

-everything

+40 new cards from a decklist you pull off of konami blog or pojo or something.

tbh, i haven't been in the game for a couple months, so i would really suggest going to pojo for more extensive advice and better know-how on theory and whatnot.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I am relying too heavy on my past dueling experiences. Just getting to know the cards in the 2 decks I listed above was a chore since the majority of the cards in those decks I had never seen before I acquired them. Gimme a box of 500 of the old cards fro mthe original sets and I can tell you what ALL of them do just by looking at their names, but I couldn't dream of doing it with these new cards, at least not yet.

I'll do what you suggested though. Although, Duel accelerator is much better in terms of gameplay, and the community is rock solid there. Sadly, Deul Accelerator does not have a forum so I have to hop and skip from different forums to see what I need.

Do you have a recommended site I can go to that lists different deck builds and the cards that are in them.

My most hated deck to fight is a lightsworn deck and I would like to make a deck that counters a lightsworn deck. But have no idea how to go about doing it. Lightsworn and Parshath Decks are my most hated decks to fight so I want to be able to stomp them or at least be able to put up a decent fight.

Dont you have to pay for duel accelerator? Well, dueling network is more popular so there are better players there and everythings free so nobody is holding back with deck building because theyre lacking in their cardpool. So while i cant force you i highly suggest dn because duel acclerator sounds as good as a gameboy game. But then, training and testing decks and tech cards or dueling for fun is pretty much the only reason to play. The community is horrible in the lower levels, it gets better as you start to face people with higher ratings, but nit many people are looking to make friends afaik.

For the deck builds and suggested cards, you can search "(archetype or deck name) official thread" and theres usually an active 30 or so page thread about it depending on how popular the deck is or was. They're pretty all inclusive and they have a ton of opinion from different people and people constantly post their builds that range from competitive to budget to gimmick to whatever. So theyre pretty helpful, just make sure its up to date with the banlist or at least not too far behind and adjust accordingly.

To beat a parshath deck you just have to not suck. No offense to you, its hard coming back to the game from so long ago bu unless they released some superfuck amazing parshath card that not only makes the scattered parshath cards unite into a deck but also makes all of those shit cards good, the way to beat a parshath deck is just to not use a crappy or ancient deck and be a decent player. Lightsworns arent a bad deck really, there are tech cards you can run against em, but i think the community in duel acvelerator or at your locals is just weird because there are several other decks that should be way scarier than a lightsworn deck. Just look up anti-lightsworn cards on google and youll find some pretty crippling cards to use.

When i get back home to my desktop ill give you some decklists ad hit you up on dn fir some one on one coaching.

For reference, here is one of the decks I use.

I played a match and recorded it with my commentary so I hope you enjoy :)

Let me know if there is a way I can improve this deck.
