1st Annual Momocon AMV Exhibition

Post by arsienna » Thu Dec 04, 2008 11:37 am

Hello Aaron here. I'm the head of AMV's at Momocon, one of the largest free anime, gaming and webcomic conventions, held every year in Atlanta. This year marks year 5 for us and I'm doing a call out to any and all willing AMV creators to make an AMV to be premiered at Momocon this March. I'm hoping to get enough to make a 1-2 hour block of never before seen AMVs. This isn't a contest, this is just to make an AMV for show, preferably following this coming con's theme of campy 1950s and 1960s science fiction (the Original Star Trek series, forbidden planet, Lost in Space, etc). So go crazy, have fun, and please keep it PG-13. Thank you.

If you think you would be interested you may contact me for details at gtg099x@mail.gatech.edu

I've been meaning to do some stuff to old sci-fi trailers for a while now. This might be the motivation I need to get my act together and do them. When's the deadline for entry?

Deadline for entry is the 7th of March. Please try to keep the AMV under 10 minutes.

That would be interesting to see. By the way, I'll OP your new video in a few days or so. Swamped at the moment getting adjusted to a new town and job.

If you have an AMV please e-mail me at gtg099x@mail.gatech.edu to find the most convenient time and method of sending your AMV to me. An online transfer is preferable but I can also take snail-mail as well.

Just a reminder I need all entries by March 7th. You can contact me about sending me the AMV at gtg099x@mail.gatech.edu or through the Momocon website. The exhibition is scheduled for Sunday morning at the convention in the theater.

Well that just kinda snuck up on me. I should finish the video before then though; probably within the week.
