If you are submitting more than one video you need to say how many and the names of all the videos you are submitting. If you are submitting by mail we accept CD's, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, and if you feel like submitting a BD yes we can read Blu-Ray discs but I dont see why anyone would send in a 20$ BD for a submission. When burning your entry, please do not make it a playable DVD or VCD – just a simple data disc is all that will be required. With your mailed submission plz keep in mind that you WILL NOT get your disks back so do not send your master copy. Also you need to include all the same info as if you had digitally submitted your video, Name, Editor Name, Video Name, and How Many( if more than one then Have All The Names).
5. File formats. We would like all submissions encoded as MPEG-2 as all will be shown by means of DVD in Main Events. We do take other file formats. Other file formats include AVI, WMA, DIVX, and MP4. We will convert all submissions to MPEG-2 anyways.
MPEG-2 Profile:
Resolution: 720 x 480, hard-letterboxed if using widescreen footage
Framerate: 29.97fps
Audio: MP2 at 48khz, stereo audio only, 224 kbps or higher, no variable audio bit rates
Video: 8000 kbit/s max, progressive
note: please do not send in authored DVD video files, just send the MPEG2 computer file.

Re: AnimeLand Wasabi AMV Contest(Deadline 03/01/2009)
Just to answer a question that I got early on, No you do not have to be attending the con to submit nor to win an award. I am working on weather we will hand out award certificates at con or be mailing them out.

Oh I just remembered I bit ago that this year unlike last year there will be a room that will be showing AMVs for a good portion of the day. Soo what ever get submitted will get shown during the con at some point. Heck I have a late night block for 18+ AMVs. So ya we got the main events room for the contest and I get my own little AMV room yaaa.

Re: AnimeLand Wasabi AMV Contest(Deadline 03/01/2009)
That will be fine. If there are any issues with the vid ill let ya know early enough so you can resubmit.
Also yes If there are any editors that want to submit a MEP to the con feel free and Ill set time aside in the AMV Room to play them, if I dont get any then ill just be playing ones that have come out in past years during some filler block of AMVs.

Re: AnimeLand Wasabi AMV Contest(Deadline 03/01/2009)
I changed some wording that may have been confusing some in the first part of the rulz. Also I got asked if Live action and Computer animated moves are ok for submissions...yes they are fine.
