Last Day to Request FTP Access for Tekkoshocon's Contest
Deadline is next week. If you are mailing out submissions, get them in the mail no later than Saturday. They must be in my hand by Friday the 28th!
FTP requests will be accepted until Wednesday and again must be uploaded in full by 11:59 on Friday the 28th.
Anybody finishing a submission should get it in asap.
AMV prejudging will be conducted in Whitewater, Wisconsin on Sunday the 30th and either the 31st or April 1st finalists will be announced. Keep in mind even videos that fail to make it to the finals will get a screening during the convention. Don't feel you cannot submit your beginning videos feeling it has now chance of showing.
Anybody who is in the northern IL or southern WI area and might want to show up to help pre-judge is welcome to attend. Drop a message my way and I can give details.
Editors who enter can drop by the amv room as anybody who submit a video and attends the convention will get some of my home baked cookies. If your vid is on the org I will try to hunt it down and review it albiet it might take most of the summer to do so.
I am relatively open on file formats, and the rules with all the fun details for both adult and normal competition videos can be found at http://tekkoshocon.com/amvrules.html

sure.... I can since I am likely to make a batch for that. I'll be hiding out in amv room when I get frustrated anyway.

If you send multiple vids, is it ok to place them on one disc, as long as you send the required info for each?
Forgot to ask: I have an action vid that uses an extended version of the song, and is almost 6' 30" long. Is it ok to send?

Sure... by all means use a disk. Just make sure I have the info for each vid. I prefer them going on one disk as it is kinder on the environment and I am too much of a packrat as it is.WesW wrote:If you send multiple vids, is it ok to place them on one disc, as long as you send the required info for each?

On the long vid, I typically limit vids to 6 min. Depending on number of entries, a long one is more likely to be cut. However, we plan to show all entries at least once. So if you want people to see your video, feel welcome to send it in.
And Zarx... feel free to send your iron chef vid or make a new one. All sounds good to me.

I don't require black spaced as it takes little time for me to add or crop it as needed and most people don't follow the requests anyway. 10 extra seconds of work on my end is not going to make me DQ a vid.
Send whatever you have as is.

Deadline is coming up. Procrastinators need to get their stuff in. New details are above.
Oh and anybody who actually might live in the area that I do is welcome to show up for prejudging. Just let me know.
*BTW* Drama level is over 9000. Defeat attendees by boredom.
