The french AMV events thread
Welcome in the french AMV events thread!
Since the org is international, and in order to inform about what is happening in the froggies country, I felt like a thread reporting the French AMV-related activities may have some interest here (and i would love to see russian/german/etc... threads open too).
So, starting today I would like to put there some information about current contests & events, introduce some French amvmakers not known here, and update the thread monthly or so.
(PS: Like all frenchies my English is a bit poor, so I hope it will be readable enough, sorry for that ^^”).
========================== 27th November ======================
So here we start with the latest news:
***** TGS AMV contest 2007 *****
The Toulouse Game Show is, like the Japan Expo in Paris, an exposition where all the classical anime-related activities - imported video games, martial arts demo, cosplaying, etc … and an AMV contest.
This contest had no restriction on anime and music used, but your video should be somewhat linked to the following theme: the 80’s.
Below is the complete list of the participants:
- Akany - - Fana - - Jojo - - Kaiser Panda - - Kaolla - - Kenzuka - - Kyden - - LogX - - Master Of Chaos - - Neb-b - - Reznic - - Riki - - Rody - - Seb - - Shaft 2.0 - - SoH - - The 36 years old kid - - Toff - - Woy –
The event occurred last week, from 22th to 24th, and judging from the feeback of editors present there, went really well for a first edition (wide room and screen, pretty good videos, audience enjoyed it).
The results are now available and amvdefans provides direct link to all the videos here:

Congrats to all participants .
***** French online tournament *****
The 2nd edition of the tournament, organized by Fantasy-movies, has begun!
After a first qualification (48h-long, music imposed) round where 14 of the 46 participants have already been eliminated, the table of versus match to come is now available:
Versus matches are about to begin.
A lot of not-too-experimented editors that want to improve here, but we’re expected some surprise during this tournament!
You can find information on amvmakers and their videos there:
http://www.fantasy-movies.net/homenew/contest.php?id=25
(I personnaly recommand Tisnak, DarkKirua, and R_1 videos)
***** Iron Chef 15 *****
This will be a very unique IC, i tell ya!
Indeed, all the 5 editors will edit in the same room, and filmed by IAN_blade & Pioupiou!
Who are these editors? Well, try to guess with this:
This is scheduled for the 22th-23th December, and the jury will be composed by:
Master of Chaos, Dark-Krystal, Shishi, AtomX, Koopiskeva
***** Birth of AMV-France, to come *****
You may know that there are currently 2 big French websites about AMV:
http://www.amvdefans.com/
http://www.fantasy-movies.net
But these 2 should soon merge into one single site. At least creators of each site wish to, and seriously discuss the matter …
No date available for the moment, the project is not yet on the move and there’s a lot to do.
=======================================================
This ends the first news of this thread, hope you liked it (don't hesitate to feedback )
