these are the rules that is has (note: I'm not running the contest nor do I have anything to do with the rules/judging etc) ^^;
Dragon's Lair wrote: As you know, this month commemorates the anniversary of A Dragons
Lair. Two years ago, we celebrated with the opening of The Dragons
Treasure Archive. Last year, we marked the event with the introduction
of two new competitions: one for poetry, and one for art. This year,
in celebration of the fourth anniversary of A Dragons Lair, we¢re
pleased to announce yet another new challenge: the Lair's first ever
Anime Music Video Contest!

For those of you who have been dying to show off your AMV skills and
for those of you who have always wanted to try it, now is your chance
to wow your fellow lair members with your talents. Your guidelines
are as follows:

1. Post your link with the following header: AMV Challenge: Name of Video

2. Above your link, state the following in this format:

Name
Title of Video
Song title and Artist
Rating
Brief summary of your ¡inspiration¢

3. Since these are Anime Music Videos, they must have the following:

-Music; Your AMV must be predominantly set to some kind of music.

-Anime; Your AMV must use anime- oriented footage. You may incorporate
stills or fan art if you like.

4. Since these are AMV's for A Dragons Lair, they MUST be based on
Seto and Jou.

5. Anime Music Videos that incorporate titles, subtitles, or sound
effects/narration of your own creation, which were added by you
during the production of the AMV, are okay. You MUST mention on your
that you added the narration or subtitles yourself .

6. If the sound quality and/or video quality is not of sufficient
quality to allow the music to be heard and/or the video to be seen
during, the video may not qualify.

7. AMV's may not be shorter than 30 seconds, or longer than 6 minutes.
An AMV whose running time falls outside this range at either end will
be disqualified.

8. Please note that any credits/bumpers/etc *will* count against your
time limit.

Once you've gotten your production together and posted the link to the
list, go here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/A_Dragons ... Challenges\
%20/Anniversary%20AMV%20Contest/

And post a brief note with just the required header and your link.

The contest will run from 8/4/07 to 9/8/07. Voting will begin on
9/9/07 and run until 9/25/07 when the winner will be announced.
So, now that you have the guidelines, help make this new challenge a
success and start your AMV today!

So isn't the fact that it must be a yugioh vid sorta make the "must include anime" blurb obsolete?
