OTAKON AMV Contest Deadline/ Online Contest Announcement

Post by hackerzc » Fri Apr 27, 2007 4:58 pm

This is an announcement to let everyone know that there are currently NO TIME left to work on and submit your entries before the contest deadline. We really need those submissions, so get your videos to us as soon as you can!

There is also an online contest going on to "guess how many entries" we get this year. The winner will get a bunch of anime stuff as a prize.
To enter simply follow this link to the Otakon BBS and read the instructions: http://board.otakon.com/viewtopic.php?p=144889#144889
You do need to be registered on the BBS in order to participate.

Good luck to everyone and I look forward to seeing those AMV's!

lol, It's just what the Otakon Forum is called. Why the website doesn't just call it that I have no idea. But in order to keep things consistent...

Their line is always busy. I'd recommend checking their secondary forum via Prodigy.

Perhaps I'm reading something wrong, but 4 weeks from May 7th is June 4th. The website says the deadline is June 1st.

Which one is it?

It's an approximation of the time left. I had wanted to do it on Friday but I was busy all that weekend, and like many others I do not have the ability to travel back in time to May 4th and post the same message.

Subsequently you have about 3 weeks now (three work weeks if that helps).

This explains your unreasonable insistence on having a dead line!

j/k of course

My son and I plan to put our entries in the mail to you next Monday.

If we submit via FTP, does the submission form still have to arrive in the mail by the deadline as well?
