Hey everyone, quick question.
I was revising the AWA rules for pro this year, and I got to the part about the submitted DVDs. In prior years we've offered to burn dual-layer DVDs for anyone who sent in those instead of single-layer.
IIRC, we've yet to have anyone take us up on that offer, and, frankly, it's a major hassle on several levels
Was anyone actually planning on sending us dual-layer discs this year, or can I just write that part out of the rules?
Thanks... MCWagner

I remember the dual-layer fiasco happening roughly two years ago when dual-layer media was ridiculously expensive.... Well.. the only thing to change in those two years is that it's, only somewhat less ridiculously expensive. Still definitely not worth the investment. I'm hoping that once Blu-Ray and HD-DVD recording comes into more of a fruition, dual-layer media will finally meet up with it's single-layer counterparts in terms of price (I'd be perfectly happy with paying 2x as much per disc, since technically thats how much you're getting. But now it's around 5-6x as much)
So, I think I can probably speak for most people when I say, just keep it single-layer.
