It sort of is the VAT's vault. We program ourselves, so any dumb scheduling is our fault. We're playing around with the schedule though (mostly because this year we have to do 90 minute scheduling blocks). The main issue in the past, was that we had lots of VAT guests, and we felt that since they came far and wide to tell their fascinating tales of love and conquest, that they should get the "awake-time". We're moving Iron Editor to earlier in the day on Saturday, so we'll have time for overflow during the cosplay. I don't know if this is worse or better. The other option is to piggyback it onto the end of the Friday contest screening, but that too could end up running late.
The cowbell issue is being worked out with logistics as we speak. I have a 3-man research team investigating just what went wrong with our supply of cowbell last year, as well as the unfortunate events that occurred due to lack of cowbell, and they are figuring out our projected success should we manage to procure enough cowbell for this year.

Having the overflow screenings during the cosplay is not a good idea. There would probably be less of a crowd if you held it during the cosplay, instead after the amv contest. That's just my thought on it. As much as I hate to say it cosplay is a bigger draw at the conventions right now unless your AWA. So to have the amv's go against cosplay would not be the best thing. If there are any other options besides after the contest that would be great. If you had to choose I say after the amv contest.
