Anime Festival Orlando 7 (Deadline July 8th) OFFICIAL RULES
I was just checking out Anime Festival Orlando's website and they have there site up and running now. I'm trying to see when they'll post the rules for the contest. Last years AMV contest turned out pretty well and had a nice attendence. The only thing was last year you had to register for the amv contest in order to enter your video in it. I'll post back with more details or find the coordinator and email him to update this.

HERE ARE THE OFFICIAL RULES FOR THE CONTEST
Anime Festival Orlando
Anime Music Video Contest Rules
Anime Festival Orlando 7 July 28-30, 2006
Eric Wampner, Host
Version 1.0
These are the official rules for the AFO7 AMV contest. Please read these rules carefully, failure to follow the rules may result in your video entry/entries being disqualified. The contest host will be responsible for organizing and operating the contest and will be the final judge of rules compliance. If you have any questions you should email them to afoamv@animegaijin.org with “AFO7 AMV Contest” on the subject line.
1. Content:
Video entries should consist of video footage at least 75% of animation in the Japanese style, a.k.a. “Anime” and an audio track 8 minutes or less. Videos that do not qualify can be presented for exhibition but will be not eligible to receive an award from the judges.
Studio bumpers and on screen credits are discouraged, but not banned. Bumpers cannot be in excess of 15 seconds before and after the video (total time). Bumper length will be added to the video length in considering the 8 minute time limit.
Do not use corporate trademarks, movie studio logos or “Movie Rating” images that would imply that your video was created or approved by a real company with real lawyers.
Videos must be viewable by a general audience to be eligible for a judged award; that means a PG-13 rating at most. Please especially avoid scenes of sex, drugs, or alcohol use among characters that appear to be underage.
DO NOT USE SUBTITLED SOURCE FOOTAGE unless the subtitle is part of your video. You will not be allowed in the judged contest.
2. Awards:
Judged awards will be given for Best Drama/Romance, Best Comedy/Parody, Best Action, and Best of Show. Additional awards are TBD.
