Anime Guild Rules Finalized

Post by wolf_hunter » Tue Feb 17, 2004 11:15 pm

yeah i work fast :o

Rules:

*Time limit: there is no time limit on the video (unless u do find a song thats 30 minutes long and actualy finish the vid o_O)

*Entries: the videos u submit must have been created AFTER march 9th, 2003

* violence/nudity not a problem

* last year u were allowed 2 entries i think? ill prolly stick to this rule since i do expect a lot of ppl to enter

*Prizes: as far as prizes go you might get hosting (have to talk it over with site admin) but u do get to put a lil tag saying u won a contest and who doesnt like to do that?

*Catagories: again same as last year there are 2 large catagories. Pro and Newb. most ppl couldnt realy distinguish the fact if they were pro or newb last year so i picked for them. and i will do that this year as well. if you are a realy good editor and made like 9 videos but just looking for an easy win, youll be automatically placed in pro. if you realy are a newb and I think u can do good in the pro catagory i WONT move you but i will suggest it. (an example of something like that is deluge, it was the persons first video but it was BAD ASS)

some are pretty self explanatory

*Action
*Drama
*Romantic (pending) – if we only get 1 or 2 romantic amvs well just keep it short and mix it in with drama
*Comedy/Upbeat
*Instrumental (pending) – depending on how many we get, last year didn’t even have 1 but this year it might be different
*Trailer
*Artistic
*Non-Anime
*Terror/Horror – I know how everyone thinks there aren’t any REALY horrifying videos out there that’s why this category is a little edgy so theres no real way to submit to this category cept for me seeing the video and allowing me to decide if it is or isn’t. you may not like it but I think that’s how im going to do it this year.
*Overall – If your video is just superior to all videos ull get know it when u get this award
*Editing – like all of the videos winning awards due to their editing skillz this award will be reserved for the video that shows the better style/genious in its editing. And some spicy effect too :P
*Honorable Mention
*Creator – this is a special category where the 2 video max rule bends. To win this category you have to send me a SEPARATE mail saying that you want to try for this category. When u send me the mail u will be required to present an ADDITIONAL 2 videos ones that WILL NOT be included in the other contest categories (meaning the add-on videos wont but the first 2 u send me will). I know how most of you will want to try for this award but think before u send me 4 videos and hinder my poor HD......it can only take so much :(

now all those categories are the same for BOTH pro and newb. But u got to remember that both of them might not have the same categories. It all depends on the videos I get

*Submission: to submit a video you must email me at spectator247@yahoo.com (do not email me at rdpmaster because I rarely check there ;) and include the following

Title of Email: Anime Guild Amv Contest Entry

Name (no reason just to look professional): Jon Tenorio
Online Name: Wolf Hunter
Title: The End
Anime: Various (then list here)
Band: Skrape
Song: In The End
Link: if u dont have one say "AIM" (and put your sn here so u can contact me and i know who u are)
Competition: Pro (or put idk if u want me to place you)
Catagory: Action

Comment: you don’t HAVE to type anything this is just to say hi and wat not. Though I do enjoy a good joke ;0

------fill that for as many videos as your going to enter-----

*codecs dont realy matter as long as the judges can see it (and we havnt had a problem with viewing a vid yet)

*to enter in Creator send me this email IMEDIATLY!!! following your first (easier for me to collect your vids)

Title of Email: Anime Guilds Amv Contest for Creator: -your name-

now copy wat u did in your first email and put catagory as creator and then your all set ;)

*Dates:

March 28th, 2004 - Entry Notice
April 11th, 2004 - Submissions Due
April 15th, 2004 - Late Submissions Must Be In
April 18th, 2004 - Winners Announced

*Entry Notice: this is not required but its for more of a safe cussion for if u go over the deadline. this tells me your going to enter (but you can back out at any time) and to come looking for you come April 15th. If u do not give me notice then ur NOT allowed to hand your submission in late. so yeah its a good idea to do. and PM THEM TO ME!!!!!!!! not email just PM

thats about it 8) did i miss anyting?

I'll hold off entering until later on (I might have another decent vid by the end of March), but just so you know, you already have at least one entry for the instrumental. I'm also thinking of maybe finishing up a romantic vid I never completed from last fall, so that might be an entry there, if it ends up any good...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
