New Iron Chef(ish) Idea

This MIGHT belong in Generall off topic, but I don't know, it seemed to fit here well...

Anyway, this is kind of awkward, but I think it would be fun.

You get however many contestants you want to listen to a song. Any song. Make sure it's really quiet.
Now here's the hard part-- The only get to hear it once.

Now you sit them all at computers, give them footage, and tell them to make a music video to that song.

Catch is, you just heard the song. You can't put it on your timeline. All your cues have to be done from memory.

I finally decided to see if anyone would be interested, or what their thoughts on doing something like this would be like.

There's too many contests of "Watch this and see whats best" compared to "make an AMV right here and see what's best"

There needs to be more on-the-spot stuff.

Yeah, but then you'd lose all the editor who'd want to do it.

Iron Chef is already stressful enough. I'm sure Hsien, Tim, Justin or Ian would all agree with me there.

And as for Iron Chef, it's at 3 cons which is pretty good

Sounds quite impossible... I not too sure how amny people can memorize beats and timming from listening to a song once.. I think this just wouldn't work at all....

We play ghetto rules smiliar like that when we do Iron Chef locally. The group picks the song before the contestants know and they get to choose whatever anime is available. Makes for some stressful but fun situations.
