We’re super excited to announce we’re back for a 3rd edition of our International AMV Competition and we’re also bringing back our 18+ AMV Competition and we’re looking forward to entries for both competitions!
Abunai! 2023: Summer Magic Academia is the 19th edition of the Netherlands’ cheekiest convention. We invite you to enjoy our summer festival! Our three-day convention will be held at NH Hotel Koningshof in Veldhoven (NL) from August 11 – 13.
For the International AMV Competition: you can enter 3 AMVs in the following categories: Action, Comedy, Dance/Fun, Drama/Romance and/or Conceptual. The Conceptual category is for AMVs that do not belong to any of the other mentioned categories. They may, for example, focus on a mood or aesthetic, or merely focus on showcasing editing skills matching the music.

The submission deadline for the International AMV Competition is Sunday, the 11th of June 2023 at 23:59:59 (GMT+1).
For the 18+ AMV Competition: you can enter 1 AMV, be aware that your source usage does need to be in accordance with the Dutch law. This includes, but is not limited to the following, which we must emphasize. No depiction of characters that are canonically minors in sexual situations is allowed to be included in your entry, this also applies to characters that look like a minor (No DragonLolis). Content showing animals in sexual situations with humans is not allowed.

The submission deadline for the 18+ AMV Competition is Sunday, the 29th of July 2023 at 23:59:59 (GMT+1).
Here is a small overview of the rules that apply to both competitions!:
- All submitted AMVs must have been finished or premiered after the 12th of June 2022
- The maximum length is five minutes (excluding into/outro).
- Collabs and MEPs are allowed!
- Title bumper/credits are not allowed. If you submit an AMV with a title bumper or credits we will request you submit a clean version. A title card will be added by us for the convention.
