Such Otakon, Very 2017, Much DC, Wow

I'm still struck by the idea that "Let's Dance to Joy Division" is a cool concept for a song.

I guess I'll take that compliment on behalf of The Wombats. ;9

Romance/Sentimental was STAAAAACKED. I really did not know whom to vote for.

Not only was this likely a tough category to decide a winner in, but the results for it (with the two KyoAni videos finishing in first and second) were a huge surprise, as I thought for sure that the audience was going to go for the Utena/Steven Universe video.

Comedy seemed pretty twisted this year. Friday's audience sounded like they dug it though.

Checking out the comedy videos on both days, I felt that the Saturday audience dug it more, as some videos (i.e. my entry, the JoJo video) got more laughs in that screening on Friday.

I'm not sure just what I expected from "Cracking Open the Cold One with the Boys", but I'm pretty sure it wasn't that.

Oh yeah, that was definitely this year's "miscategorized" video of the Contest, with it creator actually entering it in Upbeat rather than the Comedy category that it ended up in.

Congrats to all the winners! I am sad I was unable to attend this year, but HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR! We shall see ^^. I am excited to watch through a lot of these later today because there are many videos in here that I havent seen before
