This is a brief reminder that the Fanime Con AMV contest submission
deadline is approaching on May 29th. Yea I know everyone is working
hard because there are like 3 deadlines that same week, but keep up
the good work.
A few questions have come up regarding Fanime Con's AMV contest
so
I'll try to run down the short list of answers.
No, there is no set time limit for any video. We have in the rules a
request to keep them under 6 minutes but this is not a requirement.
It is simply there to try to avoid 15 videos done to
"freebird" and
have a very long boring event.
No, you do not need to be present at the con to submit a video, or to
win an award. If you are a winner and do not attend, your trophy
will be mailed to you.
Yes, some harsh language and sexuality will be allowed in any video.
We would request though that far too much be kept to a minimal,
"yes
this mean songs from Limp Bizcuit will be allowed" similar
content
will be allowed.
Yes, Patrick Bohnet will be attending Fanime Con and will be
assisting us in the actual operation of the event. Stop by and
say "Hi"
No, a set time for the event is not finalized yet, we are however
strongly looking at early mid day on Saturday June 21st. This is the
same day as the cosplay event is planned for so if you are
interested, "yes" you can see both the AMV and cosplay. AMV
award
presentation time is also being finalized.
Yes, any person submitting an AMV and attends Fanime con will be
issued a good seat in front for the viewing of any AMV event.
Fanime Con is June 20-21 in Santa Clara, CA in the Santa Clara
Convention center across the street from the Great America Theme
park. (Yes the park will be open during Famine con). See the web
site at www.fanime.com for further con details.
Thanks again all and get those videos in!!
