Ladies and gentlemen! The rules and deadlines for this year's AWA AMV contests have been uploaded and posted in the AWA website.
Just go to the front page of that site (www.awa-con.com) and click on "Video Art Track." At the bottom of that page are links to two versions of the rules.
One, the "Cliff's Notes" version, is the short, summary version for people who are interested, but who don't want to dig through pages and pages to get the basics.
The other is the full length version of the rules, including technical details for submitting computer files, the specific labeling instructions and mailing addresses, and all the nit-picky little stuff we copied from a radio commercial to sound offical.
We had complaints last year about how much there was to read through to get the basics, and I hope this addresses the problem.
NOTE: The "permission form" for participating in the pro contest is still getting cleared, so it isn't up yet. Soon as it's ready, it'll be posted in a printable format.
Take a look, see what you like, and we hope for a bumper crop of participants this year!
