Registration is now closed. Thank you to everyone who have registered their videos for either the contest or the exhibition. I will post on this same thread the official contest list as well as the list for the exhibition. It should be up sometime in late January before Ohayocon starts. Also, I will post any other announcements as there may be some slight changes in format to help enhance the contest/exhibition experience.

My apologies for any confusion by the rules but simply put, the video must be registered before it can be submitted. Registration ended at the end of the day, Dec 30th and video submission for the registered videos ends on the 3rd. The reason being was to give time to submit the videos even if editors registered at the last moment. So really there were two deadlines. Right now for those that have registered, their deadline is the 3rd of January by the end of the day.

For the rules for next year, I will make sure to clarify on that. Again my apologies for any confusion.

To all of the editors who registered for the Ohayocon 15 AMV contest, thank you for your patience. The contest set list is now complete. But first a few announcements.

First, in the rules it was mentioned that there will be actual awards given to the winners this year. Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain such awards. A medal, an award certificate, and perhaps a prize (depending on supplies) will be mailed out to the winners instead. Please accept my apologies for this inconvenience and I hope that everyone understands.

Second, there will be just one contest showing this year. It will be held at 2 PM EST on Saturday January 31st. There will not be a live stream of the contest due to lack of proper equipment. It is possible to do a live stream, encore presentation; however it will be presented sometime after Ohayocon. More details will follow as this option is still pending.

Third, the Parody/Trailer category has been split into two as there were enough videos for each to justify such a decision. The trailer videos and parody videos have been moved to the proper locations.

Finally, all videos registered and submitted to the Ohayocon contest, including exhibition, will be shown for either the contest or exhibition. Therefore if an editor submitted a video that didn’t get into the contest, it will still be on display for the exhibition showing.
