Just a little note that there were a couple videos that were originally going to be put into Overload but we actually held back on doing so to play them at different AMV events. We don't like to play the same videos multiple times during a con since the attendees at both the panels and the contest usually line up for well over an hour before the event, so playing the same videos isn't only lazy on our part but it's kind of disrespectful to their dedication. All AMV events at NDK are
always filled to max capacity and we'll release lists of videos played at other panels/events on
the official ndk forum. Kisanzi and myself normally snag a couple videos from overload each year so we can either play them at the Iron Chef event or talk about them a bit at one of our other panels if we personally enjoy them.
For reference,
this was a Sunday panel a couple years ago, a few hours before the con officially ended. Normally last minute panels are dead since everyone is leaving/has left the hotel but the people that come to the AMV events are hardcore fans and again, lined up an hour early just to get a spot.
So yeah, even if your video isn't in Overload or the contest there are still quite a few AMVs that we plan on playing to packed rooms of adoring fans at some point in time.
