Can I submit my AMV in .wmv format?

I can only assume you wish to submit a video in .wmv format because you're using Windows Movie Maker as your editing tool. If that is the case, then I suggest doing a search for a video converter to change your container. Unfortunately, I don't know a good one off the top of my head

as of this year and last year, correct. it may change in future years depending on total entry numbers (or if a single editor sweeps the whole contest lol).

No, I'm actually using Sony Vegas Pro 12 xD. The reason I'm asking is because I don't see an option to render in .avi, and the .mp4 render is really low quality, even at 720p. I would convert the .wmv file to .avi, but I still see a loss in quality. Do you know how I can render in high quality mp4 in sony vegas? Thanks [:
