Sorry if you signed up for the older awa-vat site (I will have a custom landing page for it later, right now it re directs to the above), but in revamping the site, i was not able to carry the old accounts forward.
you should be able to login, edit your details, edit any pseudonyms you use, register and upload your videos, and then submit them to a supported contest (only awa right now)
my advice is to upload in the highest quality you can... my personal preferred format is x264 (crf 14), flac audio, and mkv container... there is sync issues with mp3 and aac which i have been able to prove... if you want to see how your video will play, download mplayer2 and play it through there, I am using the code for mplayer2 as the base of my rendering engine)

Re: AWA Video Submission Site
i was saying for personal preferance
if you are making standard definition footage, then high bitrate mpeg-2 is probably preferable, since it has greater compatibility, and for SD stuff, higher bit rate MPEG-2 has the same quality as h.264... it is just much larger (hard drives are cheap).... so it comes down to size vs compatiblity

Yeah, personally I prefer mpeg4 since I work with a lot of HD footage now.Quu wrote:i was saying for personal preferance
