Unfortunately it was full of broken glass and it was a bit hazardous to get the pin and keychain out. D: For next year, I'd suggest sending it in a box with bubble wrap and packing peanuts as opposed to the envelope. Or maybe a plastic frame? Do they make those?

"Fresh Blood" wasn't a title, so much as a request from the package.

That's what Kit said, too. I only got a little nick on my finger, so I didn't feed the bag as much fresh blood as it demanded. Also, one of the cats is scared of the envelope and gave it a wide berth.

I got my certificate today, as well. Sadly the glass on mine was broken, too. Though thankfully, I managed to avoid offering any blood to the envelope. I'd suggest either a layer of 1/2" bubble wrap or using an acrylic sheet instead of glass for the future. (And I think glass counts when the postal clerk asks you if the package contains anything liquid, fragile, perishable, or potentially hazardous. ) Can you tell I send packages way too often?

Certificate came through with only a couple of scuffs, though, so for that. I'll get a fresh frame for it probably this weekend.

And you spelled my last name on the address label wrong, so (though almost everyone does, so I usually let it slide with just a snarky comment. )

Maybe. My last name is also very close to the traditional spelling (change one letter, flip its position with the letter before it). Most people get the changed letter right and forget the flip, a few remember the flip but not the change. Easy mistake to make, and around here where the traditional spelling abounds, one I'm pretty used to.

Oh dear... I'm so sorry about that.

I paid for fragile shipping too, since I knew there would be glass. Next year, I'll make sure and double-bag it and probably put in a box. Again, sorry! First time shipping prizes, you can probably tell. >_<
