I have a suggestion on that. WHy not do it like they had the junior go tournaments in Hika no go, with A team captain, then the 1st and 2nd spots. Generally always the team captain is the strongest one. then the 1st and second spots are ordered as the 2 weaker ones. This then lends to setting up your teams strategically, say if you expect you know who your oposing team would put in the 3rd spot based on their skill, and you know you have someone that would most likely win against that person, you could then set up your team that way.

Just an idea that hit me when reading over this thread.
