Zomg pro was crap once again.

... no, it really wasn't that bad. The only reason for dissapointment in my case was like several other people noted that there was like 75 % of drama (and mostly with crappy american mainstream music :P sorry).

However there were some videos I loved which I found myself watching over and over again and these include...
Bladebeat Graffiti: I was anxious to see a really well done Drum'n'Bass AMV, and this was one. For me easily Best of show and one of the best action videos ever. The sync was just incredible.
Undiscovered Countries: The style was just so obviously immediately recognizeable. The video had alot of power and a great sentimental feel to it that makes you go wow. I also really like the fact that the creator used anime which I have never heard of or seen in any other video so far.
BTB: I didn't like it at first because it was more like a video using effects as source with some bits of bleach on top of it and you could barely recognize anything. But as I liked it more and more with each viewing, I can figure out the scenes better and the structure that is on top / behind them. It might be true that it is conceptually NTB all over again (and I think NTB executed the concept of robot view much better) but I like it for whole different reasons: It is an awesome DANCE video! - Dance doesn't mean characters dancing in an AMV, dance means that it does make YOU want to dance. While I not actually dance in front of my monitor to it ( ), I nod my head alot to the beat while watching and tip with my fingers on the desk to the rythm - something I only do during really good dance videos.
This video makes no sense: It was just incredibly much fun, so random, but so dynamic. I loved it.
Real Otaku heroes: This video is truth. It speaks out of my soul
Hello Fairy: Loved it. Maybe true that the concept isn't original, but I have never seen Bottlefairy and not any full AMV to it so it was still kind of fresh, and I liked it more than most of AMV Hell together :D I couldn't help but to crack up in some parts. And look at it like this: at least it wasn't Azumanga Daioh :p
Money AMVers: I was in there so it was great. j/k j/k, it gets totally stuck in my head each time I watch it. All those parodies are great and it is kind of original.

I won't be confessing now I want to keep the suprise by AWA, but as some people around here already know it will be no secret anymore real fast

Yeah, but at least Vlad and I did it tongue-in-cheek, which apparently was lost upon your seeing it.

It was my first time entering this contest, and I didn't really have any expectations going into it. To me, the entries were definitely above the calibre of videos in most other contests, but I suppose that should be expected for a contest that "bankrupted" the Masters contest, huh?

The video that really stood out to me was the one that used Full Metal Panic (but of course I'm biased). Finally a good Souske/Kaname dramatic AMV! :D

Which video did I make? My sig makes that pretty clear now. I'll admit that the video is nothing groundbreaking besides maybe the fact that I (gasp!) actually used more than just OP and ED footage. It's just a very gratuitous tribute to the game, and I'd put it together as a friend's birthday present. (But consarn it, I didn't have time to add easter eggs to the contest version. :?)

But anyway, I look forward to finding out who made these other ones.
