So, here's the deal with overflow. As I brought up at the last meeting when we were "negotiating", I have FOUR hours of videos from people who will be in attendance, and that's after you chop out the DQs (which don't get shown anyways) and the contest finalists. I will build the overflow playlist to have only the videos made by people who said they would be there (if you are there but didn't say you were going to be, don't worry!) If you show up to overflow and let me know, you will get your video moved to the top of the list. Given how many people said they would be there, that still doesn't guarantee your entry will be shown

There are no "overly long" videos in overflow. Only one person took advantage of the "we'll take long-ass videos!" rule, and said video made the final cut. I'm not queueing up the playlist based on score because then you'll get hit with an hour-long block of Kanon/Clannad/Air romance videos that all look exactly the same after a while and got relatively similar scores

Having overflow this early is also a great time for you folks to pick up your seating badges since you'll know where I am! (hint: not at the bar!)
I had nothing to do with the scheduling of AMV Salad, nor any input in the matter. Hell, until I aw Deuce's sig, I didn't even know it was playing at Otakon.
We SHOULD be able to decide on the winners by Iron Editor. We MAY have to hold off on announcing Best of Show until after the con since that's another 1,000-2,000 extra votes to count (That's just Saturday. Friday's votes will be counted on Friday). yes, we actually get that many ballots back since we hand them out at the screening rather than bag them. Plus, this year everyone gets a pencil to vote with AND NOT TO POKE YOUR FRIENDS WITH I SWEAR TO GOD THERE BETTER BE NO REPORTS OF AMV CONTEST PENCIL RELATED INJURY! *deep breath*
Iron Editor always runs 3 hours, even when we start on time (lawl).
The "errata sheet" actually IS the schedule, so unless someone sets fire to Video 1, events should go forth as scheduled.
The AMV Contest description is misleading. It's a 2.5 hour block, but the last 30 minutes is to give people a chance to leave. Including the intro, the contest is only 2:02:30.
