I realize we only lost one of the planned GoH's for the AMV IE... unfortunately, the one lost was the last one I would have wanted to lose.

Yeah it hurts, I always have fun with monica there. She'll be missed this year, but she should be back next year

One comment, I'm not sure how well a contest during the Pillows concert will go. I certainly do appreciate the effort though, but I think it will also get a low attendence. At the same time, I think the contest will probably be better than an AMV block and perhaps folks who don't get into the show will go.

But yeah, do your best to get Main Events next year. I'll be frank in that I think Anime Hell is not as popular as the AMV contest and we *should* get that slot at night like nearly every other con. I certainly understand the bands things since ACen seems to be getting more and more bands (to the chagrin of some of us).

Somehow i doubt the 1500+ people watching Anime Hell friday night would agree ^_^. Arguably, at it's peak, there were more people at Hell than at the Pillows concert. When the hotel rep comes up to you in the middle of the show and just goes 'wow...' then it tells me that it does have a tad bit of popularity

As to the 'multiple musical groups'. well sometimes it's one of those 'if you want X, you have to take W/Y/Z kinda situation'.

Gavv is right though, Anime Hell does draw a lot of people. And even though we had a full room at midnight, we didn't have a jam packed room (there were still some empty seats) I know that you want amvs to get a lot of exposure, but as we're already filling all the rooms we have, its going to be hard asking for more space if you know what I mean. It doesn't mean that I won't ask (believe me I ask for more space every year)
