I have 1 question for you dodocool...
do you, or did you ever have any intention of attending?

I never though we would have a "mailbox full", thats why I choose to allow everything, if you ask and it makes sense why.

We have contacted previous coordinators. I'm following their advice right now.

*points to location* Attending is a moot point, but that might not have prevented me from submitting had I wanted to. This thread will probably discourage plenty more people from submitting as well. C'est la vie.

Would Anime LA be interested in showing multieditor projects as well? :D
multieditor is?
Many people edited it? of course, that falls under "group"

what exactly do you mean?

Dynamicman out...
Many people edited a large video/large amounts of videos for a single project. This and this are good examples of what I would like to send to your con.

Multieditor projects are usually non competing and are just for general showing.

Wheher or not someone's attending, he or she may wish to send something in.

Your second sentence make no sense whatsoever.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

my sentence DOES make sense, to me at lest.

Remember the rules, no submissions from non-attendies w/out a substitute attendie

When communicating with others, your opinion of whether something "makes sense" to you is secondary. What's important is whether it makes sense to other people.

And you never asked Dokool whether he'd have a proxy attending the con.

If that's the case..then you'll want to update your web page..since that particular rule isn't listed anywhere on the amv contest page. This is also really going to decrease your number of entries since ...

1). alot of creators plan their con going schedules well in advance and by annoucing this only about 2 months prior to the actual con..alot cannot or simply won't attend.

2). there are very few (read maybe 4 or less) cons that require you to attend to submit a contest video. I'm sure if my numbers are wrong on this someone will correct me.

Non-members who wish to submit entries to the contest may enlist a member to act as their agent
i realize its not very clear, what that means is that unless you attend, you cannot submit, unless you find an agent. And i believe more cons do it than you think.

Can anyone think of a better wording? I'll have the site changed.

Thank you
