Popping in real quick to tell you all that you're amazing! I was really worried about getting entries with such a quick turnaround but I've gotten so many in just one week! There's still a month to go before submissions close, so keep them coming!

Edits to change my email will be coming really soon, my con chair and I are working to get it set up as of last night!

We've been open a week and we've got so many entries! We'd love more as well, especially in comedy and trailer/parody!

Hey everyone! If you're coming to the con and want to run a panel or 3, I got a confirmation from my Vice-Chair that you don't have to submit the form! Just email me the name, description, and desired timeframe you want based on this schedule:

Friday 10 am-10 pm (The Contest will run from 6-9 pm)
Saturday 9 am-10 pm (The Contest will run from 1-4 PM AND 7-10 PM)
Sunday 9 am-3 pm (The Contest Awards will run from 12-2 and will potentially close the room for the con)

The first post will be edited to reflect this info! Deadline will be the same as AMV submissions (so September 3rd at 11:59 pm)

It'll be closed after 10 PM unfortunately, with me becoming director with a month and a half before the con, I wanted to put my focus into the main contest and not add the stress of 18+ content or an NSFW contest. Those will ALL come back next year if I'm asked back though!

Though if there's enough demand for it, I'd put one or 2 18+ panels in and extend the room hours by an hour or so. Otherwise I don't have the staff to run super late at night this year.

We are officially ONE WEEK from our deadline! It's shaping up to be an awesome contest! Still looking for a few more Trailer/Parody videos to keep it as its own category, but all categories are still welcome! Remember, the deadline is NEXT SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 3RD at 11:59 PM!! I'm planning on having finalists released the following weekend.

This deadline also applies to panels! If you're attending and want to run a panel/s, be sure to email me at sage.childress@animeusa.org with the title of your panel, a description, and a time frame you'd like the panel to be scheduled. Scheduling will be done on a first submitted basis, so the sooner you get your panel in, the more likely you'll get the time you want!
