Add ACen and Katsucon...
Err, I meant to say Katsucon instead of Nekocon. I often mix up the names since they both make me think of cats.
From what I remember, Nekocon hasn't had an AMV ceremony recently. They might have announced winners at the closing ceremony, but I rarely go to those.

On the last day of a con, I usually don't feel like hanging around till closing ceremony in the hope that they might play the amv winners. I'd rather see something like "Elitist AMV Awards Ceremony" on the schedule so that I know what I'm attending.

Just out of curiosity, how many videos were DQed due to content? The reason why I'm asking is that I'm looking for a second video:

Title: Robotics
Footage: Robot Carnival
Audio: Brian May - Cyborg

...and I'm not finding it on the overflow list either. I don't recall anything really offensive on that one, given that it was largely about robots. Please advise.
Done. Guarding.

Only the one as far as I know. And there was one person who asked for their AMV to be removed from the overflows (can't remember who though).
The Robotics AMV we never actually HAD a video for. Someone submitted a form, but we never got the video.

Stats:
-10 Submissions that either had no video or there was a problem with the video that never got resolved
-1 Video DQ'd for content
-1 Video removed from the overflows by the creators request
-18 submissions we had no submission forms for

If there was a problem and someone came to me with it I did everything I could to fix it.... for example someone sent in a non competing entry that Patrick could not play, so I ended up accepting the file, and it took 3 uploaded to the server before a version he could use was in the server.
Also I sent out numerous messages to people if I saw there was a problem, so there was plenty of opprotunity for anyone to fix any issue that came up (except for the DQ thing. I wasn't told about that till I was actually making the overflow lists).

I'm not thrilled with the way the AMV contest was handled in it's first year without Matt Pyson (the contest was perfect every year he was at the helm.)
agreed.
