I stared at that timeline for about 20 minutes before being able to decide what I could do with it. At least it was challenging.

I don't know about you, but I thought it showed great talent with how they approached it. It was meant to be a challenge. Would you rather I had given everybody Linkin Park songs to simply see who could do the most work in Premiere the fastest, without having to give any thought to scene selection and placement whatsoever?

When I picked that song, I figured it would throw people for a loop. I didn't design this contest to just pump out generic action bullshit videos. I wanted to go for a wide variety to test everybody's skills and creativity, and I think it showed in this match.
