This *is* something we'll be addressing when we revamp the AMV League Rules for Season 3, though.

Sure, submitted.Pathos Prime wrote:One more day left to submit to Anime Con Arkansas! We could reeeally use more Action and General entries. Any takers?
(Any good Drama videos, I'd highly recommend submitting to one of our future AMV League Events, though. ^_^; )
For ACA, yes. But there are still three more events this year that we'll be glad to take your entries for.KeiichiFace wrote:Too late for General/Action entries?
Looks like mine got in, which given this news is pretty validating.Pathos Prime wrote:Now for the bad news - with so many Drama vids (and quite of few of them were pretty long), the bar to become a finalist at ACA wound up a lot higher than normal. We had to cut quite a few good videos, so if you don't see your name up here on our latest finalists video, please don't be discouraged! And feel free to keep submitting to future events.
I have a video that was disqualified for 1 Bullshit at a con... it all depends on the convention. If you submitted a video to MTAC which I help run the AMV contest with a F-bomb it would be DQ'dGoober4473 wrote:Looks like mine got in, which given this news is pretty validating.Pathos Prime wrote:Now for the bad news - with so many Drama vids (and quite of few of them were pretty long), the bar to become a finalist at ACA wound up a lot higher than normal. Here's a question though: How excessive is excessive profanity? I made a Rick and Morty video recently, but it's full of swears, so I figure I can't submit it, but it's worth asking about. I'm guessing any use of the f-word is grounds for disqualification?
