I even tried upgrading my winamp so it could decode mp4s but it can only play the audio and the video is just blank. I even tried downloading it to my PSP but the file's too big. And I can't use bittorrent. What should I do? Someone please help...

I just got home from work and...
OMGZ!!!
If there were one round I really wanted to win, it was this one. Like, you wouldn't believe the trouble I had with this one.
The lyrics, Japanese or translated to English, aren't available anywhere, so I "transliterated" them (at least I think that's what you call "writing in English what it sounded like was said in Japanese). The results were pretty funny.
Then, the editing process was a pain in the arse because Windows Movie Maker has a hard time processing AVI smoothly. When I finally settled on the finished product, I sent the WMV in to AMV Hell. They informed me there was a "blip" of anime subtitle still there and I should correct it. This I did, or so I thought.
I sent in the second version about fifteen minutes before I discovered another subtitle "blip." About that time, I got a message that the file would "cut off" about 1/3 of the way through and to resend it. I removed the second "blip," resaved, and resent (third attempt if you're keeping score). AMV Hell writes back and says they're still having trouble with the file and to try sending as AVI, which I did.
If you have to ask,...YES, it was worth it!

Funny, I'm Canadian too and didn't get a single entry in. I was hoping at least my Short Shorts entry would be picked. Oh well.sigmatron wrote:Congratulations to Fall_Child42: 6, Haunter103: 6, and Strawberry Key: 5. (all from Canada)
sing : Blame Canada, blame Canada, blame Canada
and congratulations to the winners.
Congrats to the above, way to represent your country!

Yup, I'm also a Canuck that didn't make the grade with any submissions. There goes the Canadian Conspiracy Theory.
In any case, I have no regrets - the contest was a fun diversion. Thanks for hosting it, Zarx!
Here's all the clips I entered, straight from the cutting room floor, for any interested parties:
Round 06 - Hard Knock Life - Azumanga Daioh
Round 07 - Dicks Don't Grow on Trees - Saber Marionette
Round 20 - Boys in the Hood - Rurouni Kenshin
Round 20 - Peach Pie on the Beach - Slayers
Round 20 - The Coming Curse - Ranma 1/2

Happy Geography Lesson
I've been confused for a Canadian many times. Here's how the conversation goes:BakaMattSu wrote:Yup, I'm also a Canuck that didn't make the grade with any submissions. There goes the Canadian Conspiracy Theory.![]()
Random underinformed individual: "Where you from?"
Me: "Vancouver."
Random underinformed individual: "You're Canadian?"
Me: "No, I'm from Washington."
Random underinformed individual: "Washington D.C.?"
Me: "...No." *sigh*
Random underinformed individual: "Which is it man? Vancouver B.C. or Washington D.C.?"
Me: (at this point, I have hopefully located a map) "Niether, look."
I point at the state of Washington, then I point at the city north of Portland, Oregon.
Me: "Here."
Random underinformed individual: "Oh." Then there is a pause. "So... do your cops really ride horses and wear those cool hats?"
Me: (giving up) "Yes... yes they do ride horses and they wear those cool hats."
I would blame Canada for having to explain this to people all the time, but you guys take enough flak from us and you do crank up some great AMV's.
