Well, you could always just pick your 5 sources, then roll a 120 sided die to choose one of the 120 different permutations of a 5 element set, perform that permutation on your source to reorder it randomly, then roll the 10 sided die and divide by 2. At that point, there wouldn't be a bias for choices 3 - 5 since they were put into those slots randomly by the permutation.
Or you could just roll the 5 sided die and be done with it.

When the tournament is over, I'll be releasing a big compilation of all the matches. Until then its up to the editors to release their videos if they wish to, so long as their match outcome has been decided.

You know, when we need a d5 when I RP we just roll a d10 and instead of dividing by 2 (and rounding) it's just as simple as 1 & 6 = 1 and so on. Just a thought.

you know it doesn't actually matter which number you designate as the duplicate 1s and 2s etc. so this would work just as well.ngsilver wrote:You know, when we need a d5 when I RP we just roll a d10 and instead of dividing by 2 (and rounding) it's just as simple as 1 & 6 = 1 and so on. Why not just have 1 and 2 be 1, 3 and 4 be 2, and so on? You know, for simplicity's sake.Dr.Dinosaur wrote:you know it doesn't actually matter which number you designate as the duplicate 1s and 2s etc. so this would work just as well.ngsilver wrote:You know, when we need a d5 when I RP we just roll a d10 and instead of dividing by 2 (and rounding) it's just as simple as 1 & 6 = 1 and so on.
