The entry list is up complete with finalists, cut entries, and award winners. Links will come when I get back home and have a chance to find them.

Congrats to all the winners, I was more than happy enough to see my entries being shown in the stream, even to open up the contest (including the technical difficulties that you all had to start it off  ).

It certainly looks like Gaycen was in full force this time around.

That's something that's been going on for several years. The audience doesn't want to watch a bunch of drama and romance videos back to back. This also prevents people from just showing up at the beginning or end to see action/comedy and then emptying the room (this was a notorious issue at many AMV contests back in the day..late 90s early 00s). As an FYI from 2007-2010 the list wasn't even randomized. I know those years I manually built the play order (note: I am not currently on ACen AMV staff).

interesting. i find it so bizarre how different cons have different reactions to amvs. kinda like each convention has it's own personality.

You can have the luxury of doing stuff like that when most of the contest is pre-judged before hand. Trying to do it with audience voting would really screw things up.

Unrelated - should I be watching my mailbox any time soon? (I'm at a condo complex and I sometimes forget to check my mail for a week at a time)

Trophies were handed out to those that were there. I dunno if they sent them out yet though to those who weren't there.
