So ive been hearing that, because i never showed up to the con, someone pretended to be me and took my award.

First contest i actually win and my award gets stolen. Not cool at all.

If that really did happen ... that would be the worst. I really hope it didn't.

I've never won at Anime Boston before, but I'd think they'd have the people show some form of identification or their badges or something along those lines before giving the awards away.

Friggin crappy.. Never heard of that happening at other cons. I mean what if you actually had been there and were just slow to pick it up? What would the other person say then? Pretty damn low.

I wonder how they knew you weren't going to be there? You probably should have let the contest coordinators know ahead of time. The latest contest I went to (Megacon 2008) the coordinators knew (of the winners) who was going to be there to pick up their award and whose to hold.

I do recall telling them that i wasnt going to be there.. though maybe that was for another con. -__-

Eh well at least ill learn from this. For future cons ill make sure i tell them that i wont be there and if in the event i win something, anyone who claims it is an imposter. =\

Yes, on the submission form there is a question asking if you are going to be attending or not. I wonder how that person was able to get it.

While it really just plain stinks that someone would do that, we all know who the winner is. Not the stealer, but you.

Also, Kiarrens is right. Adam is a great guy and when he hears about this I'm sure he'll try to send out another one to you.

On a side note, I really wish you could have been there to hear the audience's reaction, Chiikaboom! They were going wild. I had seen the video before seeing it on the big screen at Anime Boston, and hearing it blasting got my blood pumping. My friends and I were belting out the lyrics.

That video will never get old.

Yeah that is right it was on the form o__o

maybe the people on youtube who're sending me msgs about it "being so awesome to meet me in person" and "accepting that award" and shet are messing with my head

Well i emailed Adam about it anyway, we'll see what he says about it.

Yeeeaaahhhh... not sure if I would trust the youtube crowd. I couldn't make it to the wrap-up panel this year unfortunately, but I wish I had just so I could have shed some light on this mystery.
