If you're editing with AVISynth scripts, try throwing more memory at them (through adjusting the settings in the import plugin GUI). That'll help prevent access violations, if that is in fact the problem.
Im not using AVIsynth scripts...Im using AVI files.... <_< And no matter how many times I export, they just wont show up...which is weird because before they did just fine...but now they won't.
Try exporting them in 'pieces' then. Make your work area smaller than the full timeline, render that. Do it again for the next piece and so on. Use Vdub and AVIsynth to piece it back together, or even Premiere if you want.

Okay, I'll try that after I try to export one more time. Thanks. =3

Edit: Your idea worked. Thanks alot. I guess they didnt show up because there were too many clips to render. (The video is 5:57...cutting it close to 6, huh? XD ) Thanks again!

Edit: =/ ...I couldnt put it together in time..with only 30 mins from the deadline, Im uploading a slightly lower quality AVI version. -_- I hope I'll be able to resubmit it...

Okay...it says it's successfully uploaded... I hope its right.

Lol...I submitted my AMV...at around 12:45 AM...15 minutes from the deadline of 1 AM..

Now the rules state that all submissions must be done "uploading" by 1 AM..so generally, I'm in the clear right? I feel really paranoid that my AMV would have been "too late"...

Anyway, I'm pretty anxious about this year's con! I can't believe i submitted my 2nd AMV I've ever made! I hope I get far...[doesn't expect much] :D

Vic was good enough to reply to my query and let me know he received my submission and that it's in "the pile" (poor guy)... he also sent me this way.

So, hi everybody! =0

This is the first time I'll be submitting an AMV to Otakon, so I don't really know what to expect. I'll be happy just to see it on the big screen, though. Do all submissions get played, even if they don't make it into the contest screenings (eg: overflow)?

Any videos that don't make the main contest are usually shown in overflow. They get a lot, though. Last year there were three overflow showings and apparently all of them were different. (I didn't know, I just happened to go to the one where my video got played. 8-) Hooray for luck!)

But at any rate, yeah, it'll prolly get played regardless.

I wonder if there's a way to determine what showing your video would likely be in...if your video doesn't make it to the finals of course. Would it likely be based on when you submitted it? If you submitted it earlier, you'd be in the earlier showings, or later you'd be in the later showings, etc.

I entered last year and wasn't selected, and I think I was in the 3rd overrun showing. I did submit near the deadline, so perhaps it does have something to do with it.

Just sent out the next batch of confirmation emails. Nobody's taking bets as to how many entries I got? You keep quiet Alan. You too D(Vl)ad!

The way I've always done overflow is that if the creator is in the room, just walk up to the person running the playlist, let them know your studio name, and your video will be next on the list. Nothing is set in stone. Everything will be played off of a PC, live.

I got my confirmation, thanks. =3

I have a small question. I was wondering that maybe if my video was chosen for a finalist, I'll be able to send in a higher quality? Because I sent it in a hurry and one clip looks really bad. =/ Or will it be okay? I'm kinda worried about it.
