I know there's a lot to be won from AX's amv contest even without money, but with the amount this large, I think there's something that's gonna make you take it far more seriously. All you really need to do is continue what you're doing, even though you know a large sum of cash is involved.

I haven't made it into the contest for 4 years and it'll be 5 this year. I've entered every single year since AX has moved to LA and still haven't gotten in. I like your work and I think you stand a good chance.
Thanks alot, Castor.

I do believe that the cash money is a good thing, though. It may have some negativity, but it just means people will have to try that much harder.

I do know for a fact though, with that much money involved, the AMV contest will be AWESOME.

I also find that strange you haven't gotten in, since you're such an awesome editor. Another reason why I'm so nervous.

Oh... I do have a slight question though... I've been meaning to ask for a long while, maybe I'll ask now.

DP, is there any chance of having a sign language interpreter for the contest? Or do I need to talk to disabled services? I remember back in the day of 2005, AX provided interpreters, but the year after, they stopped. I just figured it was too expensive and didn't bother asking, but if they're giving away so much prize money, I just wondered if they have any extra for this. I always miss out on what you say about each video and I feel kinda sad about that.

Amen to that. I'm SUPER fired up now - not just about the prize money [Which is freaking amazing], but I think with that prize money as a goal, people are gonna step up their game. This year's contest is gonna be amazing.

Insert Shonen determination here.

Also, Kaz, stop doubting yourself, dagnabbit!

DigitalPanther wrote:3a. A total of four (4) Anime Music Video Contest Entries are allowed per team, studio, group or person. This change has become necessary due to the sheer volume of entries we have been receiving. Entrants wishing to compete in multiple teams, studios, groups and/or as an individual can enter a MAXIMUM of four videos. Any additional submissions will be disqualified. Please note: Submissions to the “Fun” category count against your four (4) submission limit.
I'm actually glad to see this in here this year. Since there still seems to be no restriction on age of entries, this ensures that people won't be sending in half their back catalogs for a shot at the money.

Well since Los Angeles looks to be FINALLY getting a football team or at least a more modern stadium than the Coliseum, I wonder if AX would ever use it. Cosplay Football? Concerts? AMV contest on the jumbo-tron?
