Hey at one point in those rules it mentions "Semi-Finalists"... are there two rounds of video selection? or what does that mean?

AX gets around 200-300 entries a year.OniZabuza wrote:Hey at one point in those rules it mentions "Semi-Finalists"... are there two rounds of video selection? or what does that mean?
Only 28 make it to the semi finals in the 4 categories (Drama, Action, Comedy, AMTV) which are the videos that are shown on the big screen.
The finalists are the 4 winners of the categories and one winner is picked to be best of show.

To save people some time
Postmark deadline is April 30th
Recieved deadline is May 4th
So it's an earlier deadlie than normal in lieu of when these were posted.
Also you may want to read the "parody" definition they have. It's a bit vague so I'm not sure how many videos are going to fall under it.

well supposedly expo has been moved to long beach this year because our numbers got so huge last year. i haven't been to the LB convention center but i've heard that it's bigger than anaheim's. so i suppose the main event hall will be big enough...The Wired Knight wrote:Actually that hasn't happened in years. I'm just oping there's the space for people this year since the LB Convention Center's stadium they used for the main events is small in comparison to the space available in Anaheim.
