I not only won comedy, but I won best in show? Wow. That's so suprising I can't even come up with a sarcastic comment about it. And quite a lot of prize DVDs there even. Must have been a lot of married men on the judging panel.

We need to sort thru the prizes in a mor organized fashion. I want everyone to get some DVDs that they don't already own, so we need to figure out exactly what from this list of stuff each of you does own, and then I will re-sort the prizes.

HOLY CRAP I WAS MORE DRUNK THAN I THOUGHT!

I dunno what the hell someone had slipped into my booze, but I must have been hallucinating.

I just now looked over the score sheet one last time, and noticed that I had "Bleach Mitternacht" listed as a winner in Horror, when the clear winner in Horror is "Manic"!!

In fact, Manic's score is WAY higher than Bleach Mitternacht. I must have misread the 8 as a 6 or something...

Bleach Mitternacht: 7.91
Manic: 8.87

See, big difference.

Thankfully, all the other listed winners ARE correct.

Ugh.

Wow, that was fast.

Anyway, next year's Archon contest is gonna be a lot different, and I am hoping to have a lot more entries from attendees, so there MAY be limited space for non-attendees. Just saying.

We'll see what's gonna happen when I start planning the contest in May or so... probably gonna announce rules and stuff around ACen time.

Most notably, I'll probably be doing pre-judging, and then just showing the vids to the audience as a show, and to get crowd reaction and such.

This opens up the possibility of having non-attendee judges if I can't get enough experienced AMV people at the con itself, which was a big problem this year. Two of the judges did a kind of poor job, i.e. giving all 10's to videos they personally liked, despite technical areas that were supposed to be judged. Stuff like that.

I'll be asking around with other contest coordinators to see what I can be doing better.

Suggestions welcome.
