From what I could tell, the TV outside was just playing DDR Project (not sure which one) over and over.
As far as runner ups, they didn't announce any. I think they showed one video from each person who submitted videos. My Hikaru no Go video was shown, but my Trigun video wasn't. But on the other hand, I know one video creator who did not have his/her video shown at all. Not sure since I haven't seen it, but I would imagine his/her video would have been better than some of those shown.

Overall, the contest was a mixed bag of good videos and some which weren't as good. Two out of four winners were present. I was also wondering why they cut the judges' awards that they did last year.

Good videos I'd like to point out:
Various video to unkown friendship some...
Very original and entertaining video. Good lipsyncing. Can't remember which song it was to right now, but it was one of my favorites of the contest.

Soul Brother Ryo's Hikaru no Go video...
There needs to be more good HnG videos... where's the love?

Hmm, you might be talking about my video. Probably just wishful thinking on my part though. :) Mine had a LOT of lip synching, though I don't know if I'd call it good lip synching. It was Super Gals! footage to "Super Model" by Jill Sobule. It's here if you want to see if it's the same one. I'm not plugging for my video or anything, I'm just curious if anybody liked it at all, cause it didn't get much of a crowd reaction...well, unless you count, "confused silence" as a crowd reaction.

I thought he told me he won Best Drama... or Romance or something like that. Didn't his video use the RK OAVs?

No, that wasn't the one I was talking about, but it was a good video too. I've seen the first two episodes of Super GALS and I've wanted to see more. There were a lot of non-traditional videos at Megacon... Super GALS, Hikaru no Go, Ippo, and more.

i was really amazed my video was shown on the screen, but the audience seemed to get a kick out of it. ^_^ it was the first time i'd ever displayed anything made by me to more than just a group of friends... it was rather exciting...

Yeah same here...I have only entered one other con (actually two but no one ever said they saw my vid at AWA so it doesn't count) the one I did enter was only on a tv I think. So this was first time being on big screen. People at school said they saw it, so thats really cool...I'm guessing it was big screen because I don't know how else they would of seen it. Another reason why I put my real name instead of tash :D They would of never known I made it.
